LEARNING | WORKSHOPS & TALKS
House of Quinn offers a growing programme of workshops, talks and online learning exploring contemporary textiles, quilting and material practice. From intimate hand-stitching workshops to public talks and self-paced online courses, each opportunity is designed to encourage careful observation, creative enquiry and making through process.
A Guide To Contemporary Quilting with Create Academy
Learn how to create your own quilted projects for the home with my new quilting course from Create Academy. Through a series of in-depth video lessons, I guide you through the process of designing, composing, and hand-stitching your own textile pieces.
Whether you're new to quilting or looking to refine your approach, this course explores intuitive techniques, material choices, and personal expression, helping you create meaningful, handcrafted works for your space.
quilting Retreats with Merchant & Mills
Twice a year, I teach a four-day quilting retreat at Merchant & Mills in Rye. Designed for both beginners and experienced makers, each retreat explores my approach to improvisational patchwork, appliqué and hand quilting through a series of practical demonstrations and individual guidance.
With small class sizes and an emphasis on process, observation and thoughtful making, the retreats offer the opportunity to develop new skills while spending dedicated time immersed in cloth and construction. Each course is hosted at the Merchant & Mills studio, with accommodation provided at The Grove, Merchant & Mills’ residence.
New dates are released annually, and booking is managed through Merchant & Mills.

As part of TATTER's Hand-Sewn Quilting programme, I teach Naturalistic Quilting, a live online workshop exploring abstraction through landscape, observation and cloth.

House of Quinn Online workshops
I run online workshop sessions that focus on creating exploration with textiles. From patchwork to applique, each online course allows us to make together on Zoom, encouraging community and conversation in a supportive learning environment.
