FAQs
What is House of Quinn?
House of Quinn is the studio practice of British designer and artist Julius Arthur. It brings together quilts, textile works, objects and limited collections that sit between art, design and craft. Each piece is made by hand, often using reclaimed or responsibly sourced materials, with an emphasis on form, material, and memory.
Can I commission a quilt or textile artwork?
Yes — House of Quinn welcomes commissions for quilts and textile works, whether for home interiors, exhibitions, or personal projects. You can find more about the process on the Commissions & Bespoke Work page, which outlines how we work together from initial enquiry to finished piece.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Most original artworks and textile pieces can be shipped internationally. Some items, such as tools or printed books, may have restrictions depending on regional regulations. You’ll find shipping details and any limitations listed on each product page.
What materials do you use?
Materials are a central part of the work. Textiles are often reclaimed or vintage, sourced for their quality and character. You'll find natural fibres like cotton, linen, and wool, alongside paper, wood, and pigment in sculptural and mixed media works. Each piece is made with care and a commitment to sustainable making.faucibus lacus sed nulla congue congue. Morbi a ligula lobortis, maximus orci in, egestas dui. What is Inventory?
Inventory is a curated selection of sourced interior objects, including vintage and handmade pieces chosen for their form, material, and quiet presence. It runs as an occasional drop alongside House of Quinn’s studio collections — offering objects that complement the practice and speak to a slower, more thoughtful way of living with things.
Do you teach workshops?
Yes. Julius teaches occasional in-person and online workshops, focusing on hand quilting, composition, and process-based making. Workshops are announced via the newsletter and Instagram, and can also be arranged privately for groups or events.
