Long Studio Pottery Dish with Crater Glaze Centre

£65.00

Origin: Unknown, likely British studio pottery, 1960s–70s
Material: Stoneware with crater glaze
Length: Approx. 37cm
Height: Approx. 5cm

Unusual and sculptural, a striking hand-built mid-century studio pottery dish with a soft-oval silhouette and crater glaze detailing through the centre. The form is long, low, and subtly irregular, with a tapering profile and gently raised rim.

The deep green glaze transitions to textured pooling in the centre with some volcanic surface detail. The outer edges are left partially unglazed, revealing the pale clay body beneath.

Unsigned, but the form and finish align closely with the British studio pottery movement of the 1960s and 70s.

Excellent vintage condition.
