Join me for a creative getaway on the coast. House of Quinn has teamed up with Kindred House to offer a weekend of creative quilt making workshops and two nights stay on the Kent coast.
Over the course of the weekend, we will be exploring the use of textiles to create quilted artworks or small quilts during two creative workshops.
Learn how to use applique and patchwork to create meaningful work inspired by personal connections, surroundings and a series of creative prompts that will guide you as we make.
We will also be learning how to construct a quilt, explore quilting stitches to embellish your work and how to complete and finish your piece, ready to hang up or use at home.
Kindred House will be offering beautiful accommodation with breakfast and lunch and provide the backdrop to explore and experience Margate and the Kent coast. Founded by designer Natasha Lawless in 2020, Kindred House was created as a place to come to rest, to encourage creativity and to learn and I could not think of a better place to create quilts and get creative for the weekend.
The retreat is over two days from Friday the 11th of March to Sunday the 13th March, 2022.
